Vegas Precipitation In CentimetersVegas rain isn't very common, but it does happen. January, February, and March in Las Vegas can have cloudy days with off-and-on rain, while July and August in Las Vegas can have thunderstorms that will create flooding. Flooding is really the major weather concern in Las Vegas; if you ever find yourself in Vegas when a significant rain storm hits, do yourself and everyone else a favor and stay off the roads. At best, you risk being laughed at by the people who did stay home when you car is washed away, at worst you could die.
Even more rare, but possible, is snow. It had been nearly 30 years since Las Vegas received any significant snow, but then over 9 cm fell in December 2008.
